Thanks! I can see you lived up to your promise by providing the artist impression of the Victoria Falls Airport. I can see that with 3 air bridges it will be almost the same size as Harare International Airport. If this new airport is able to process 1,2m passengers a year how many can Harare airport process per annum. My view is that the airport will initially operate under its capacity in view of low arrivals due to bad perception and economic downturn. We hope the fees collected will be able to support the maintenance of the facility in the short term. The project is however very good for the future and will benefit the country in the long term. A longer runway and terminal was long overdue
This is the most ugliest artist impression of an airport that I have ever seen! But only, and only because Victoria falls is a tourist city, I see this airport to have much more arrivals from Amsterdam and possibly British Airways if the runway is able to accommodate a boeing 747-800. Before you know it, Harare airport will be a white elephant and hopefully competency and efficiency can exist somewhere in zim...hopefully this airport if and only if it is completed. But I cant say this enough, what an UGLY artist impression of an airport.
Thanks for the comments guys, well that is the artist impression provided by the CAAZ (Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe). We will only know what it really looks like when completed in April 2015. Will be keeping you updated
